Four Stopovers of Lights

Follow the Light

1 article

The French winter doesn't fade away—it brightens. This intuition guided our entire first issue. Where others see shorter days, we sought light: the tawny, golden light that glides over the Loire's moat in October; the festive light of garlands adorning the half-timbered houses of Alsace.

We followed the ever-changing skies of Brittany, where the light shifts ten times each afternoon above Mont-Saint-Michel, and we ended up in Lyon, a city that literally celebrates light. Four destinations, one shared quest: to show that the cold season is the most luminous there is, provided you know where to look.

At each of these stops, the art of living warms the soul—a glass of Loire wine, a gingerbread loaf, a bowl of cider by the fireside, a traditional Lyonnais bistro. And to extend the journey, each report concludes with a selection of exceptional addresses, which can be booked with a simple scan. Happy reading, and beautiful light.
